ABSTRACT

Lichen planus is a rarely seen disorder in childhood and presents with primarily skin and mucosa involvements. Lichen planus with an isolated nail involvement is seen very rarely. The nail involvement related to lichen planus in children has different presentations including the typical nail lichen planus (that is the most common form), the twenty nails dystrophy, and idiopathic nail atrophy. In the literature, a few case reports presenting with nail lichen planus during childhood were reported. We report a 14-year-old boy who presented with nail lichen planus and had a partial response to corticosteroid treatment. This case was reported because of its rarity.
