ABSTRACT
Tinea capitis favosa, developing usually due to Trichophyton Schönleinii, is a rare, chronic, and inflammatory dermatophytic disease of scalp. It may cause cicatricial alopecia if left untreated. Although usually a disease of childhood, it may seen on during and after puberty. Here, we describe a 13-year-old female patient who has had scalp lesions for 8 years and developing cicatricial alopecia because of delay in the diagnosis and treatment.
