ABSTRACT
Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the cutaneous T cell lymphoma. Classical clinical and histopathological findings of MF are detected in most of the patients. However, some of the patients present with clinicopathological findings other than the classical form, which is defined as atypical MF. The atypical forms of MF constitute of follicular MF, syringotrophic MF, bullous/ vesicular MF, granulomatous MF and granulomatous slack skin, hypopigmented MF, hyperpigmented MF, poikilodermic MF, palmoplantar MF, hyperkeratotic/verrucous MF, vegetative/ papillomatous MF, pigmented purpura-like MF, pustular MF, ichthyosiform MF, solitary lesion MF and solitary lesion pagetoid reticulosis.
Atypical forms of MF should be differentiated from classical MF because of variable prognosis.
