ABSTRACT

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive technique that consists of the intradermal injection of variable mixtures of natural plant extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceuticals, vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and other bioactive substances. Mesotherapy is performed in microscopic quantities of cocktail through dermal multipunctures. It is a safe and effective alternative for the treatment of cellulite, weight loss, hair loss (alopecia), and face and neck rejuvenation. Application of mesotherapy was gaining popularity in our country in the last decade. Because both there is very little scientific data about mesotherapy products and mesotherapy becomes a common method in cosmetic dermatology, we aim to give information of products and drugs commonly used in mesotherapy.
