ABSTRACT
Cutaneous anthrax is generally most common presentation and fallow direct inoculation of material from infected animals into human skin, often in an occupational setting. The clinical presentation of human anthrax depends on the route of inoculation. In 95% of human cases, disease is acquired through percutaneous inoculation of anthrax spores. Anthrax is frequently seen among shepherds, farmers, butchers, veterinarians, and farm workers. In this paper we present a 40-year-old male patient with cutaneous anthrax had an pruritic erythematous papules started as a wing of the nose and then developed edema and crust. Gram-positive bacilli in the chain form were seen in the material and the culture was positive. The patient took high dose intravenous penicillin G (18 Million Units/day) for 10 days. After fifteen days the patient was completely healed without any complication.
