ABSTRACT

Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by M. leprae. Though leprosy affects mainly the skin and peripheral nerves almost all organs can be involved. It can lead to various complications such as mutilations, ulcers. Malignant transformation of neuropathic ulcers in leprosy is rarely observed. We report a case of squamous cell carcinoma arising on chronic plantar ulcer in a 75-year-old woman with leprosy.
