ABSTRACT
In this article, superficial angiomyxoma rarely seen on the thumb is presented. Fourty two-year-old woman had a painful, slow-growing, raised lesion on her right thumb adjacent to the nail. Superficial angiomyxoma (cutaneous myxoma) is a rarely seen benign cutaneous tumor. It does not metastasize but recur frequently. Generally, it tends to occur in perineal regions of middle-age women. Occasionally, it may be associated with Carney complex containing systemic components. The present case was diagnosed as superficial angiomyxoma with the help of histopathological examination. This is remarkable because of rare localisation of the lesion on the fingers.
