ABSTRACT
Vesiculobullous lesions are accepted as non-specific cutaneous symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and comprise 5% of all cutaneous lesions of the disease. Rare associations of bullous pemfigoides, dermatitis herpetiformis and acquired epidermolysis bullosa with SLE have been reported. Thirty-four years old male patient applied with complaints of generalized muscle weakness and arthralgia for four months and erythematosus vesiculobullous eruptions during the last month. Photosensitivity and recurrent oral ulcers existed in his medical history. According to laboratory investigations and histopathological examinations, SLE and bullous pemfigoides were diagnosed. Significant clinical improvement recognized with methylprednisolone 1 mg/kg/day and hydroxychloroquine 200 mg/day. Our case was reported for rarity of bullous pemfigoides with SLE and also, being the first lesion of SLE.
